Behind the Lens
Hello, I’m Ana and I am a portrait and wedding photographer based in southwest Florida where the paradisiacal backdrops of the Gulf Coast are a dream come true.
What inspires me most about photography is the opportunity to capsulize moments in time forever. From the subtle magic of everyday living to the grand milestones of life, my goal as a photographer is to capture the emotions and connections in front of the lens and transform them into natural, captivating and timeless heirlooms.
At an early age, my parents recognized my creative spirit and fostered within me a deep love and appreciation for art. Enrollment in courses, visits to museums, and hours spent poring through fine art books were not uncommon.
At the University of Florida I studied architecture, art history, and in 2010 received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Advertising with a focus in graphic design. Prior to graduation I became employed by a national hospital corporation as a web content editor and graphic designer.
In addition to my corporate post, I provided pro-bono design services for non-profit organizations such as the America Red Cross and the American Cancer Society. I also provided freelance design services to local, national and international clients such as bottling manufacture Cott Co.
While photography always existed as an intense personal interest, a growing demand for professional portrait services in addition to the success of my freelance design business resulted in the establishment of Ana Polak Atelier in 2012.
After the birth of our son Henry, I stepped away from the corporate world in 2015 to dedicate myself more fully to his care and the development of AP Atelier. I’ve never felt more accomplished and blessed.
